Tuition Fees & Scholarships

Annual system fees are set each year when the operating budget is passed by the Board of Directors. To keep fees as low as possible, Capstone Engineering Academy is committed to being as efficient as possible in the provision of services.

It is important to know that Capstone Engineering Academy has scholarships or other financial arrangements for families who cannot afford to pay the fees and qualify for admission. Please contact our office for further information.

Tuition Programs

Referral Program
$1000 off your tuition, $1000 off their tuition, must be enrolled until October 1st (no cap on how many referrals, siblings count as a referral).
Program Rules: The “Referral Program” allows currently enrolled students at Capstone Engineering Academy to refer new students to the institution and receive a $1000 tuition credit for themselves and the referred student.
– Must be a currently enrolled student at Capstone Engineering Academy.
– Must refer a new student who subsequently enrolls at Capstone Engineering Academy.
– Referrals must be submitted and acknowledged by Capstone Engineering Academy before the new student’s enrollment.
– Must be a new student who has not previously enrolled at Capstone Engineering Academy (All 2024 enrollments will be considered “new students”).
– Siblings of current students count as separate referrals.
– Both the referrer and the referred student must enroll, pay tuition, and remain enrolled until October 1st of the academic year to qualify.
– The “Referrer” will receive a $1000 tuition credit applicable towards 2024 tuition after the referred student successfully enrolls, pays tuition, and remains enrolled until October 1st, 2024.
– The “Referred” will receive a $1000 tuition credit applicable towards their 2024 tuition, after successfully enrolling, paying tuition, and remaining enrolled until October 1st.
– Referrals must be submitted through the official referral form provided by Capstone Engineering Academy, and must include accurate contact information of both the referrer and the referred student.
– Referrals will be acknowledged by Capstone Engineering Academy upon verification of the referred student’s enrollment.
– There is no cap on the number of referrals a referrer can make. Tuition credits will be applied towards future tuition payments and cannot be redeemed for cash.
– Capstone Engineering Academy reserves the right to modify or terminate the “Program” at any time without prior notice.

Paid Deposit Forwarding Program
If you have paid a deposit for another school for the 2024-2025 school year, Capstone Engineering Academy will credit that deposit towards your tuition fees.
Program Conditions: The “Paid Deposit Forwarding Program” allows for all students who have already paid a deposit to another institution for the 2024-2025 school year, to receive that deposit credited towards their Capstone Engineering Academy tuition fees. Tuition credits will be applied towards future tuition payments and cannot be redeemed for cash.
– Enrollment is considered complete when the school has received all required documentation and fees, and the student has been enrolled until October 1st.
– Capstone Engineering Academy reserves the right to modify or terminate the “Program” at any time without prior notice.

Pay By May for Year 2 Program
Enroll your student for the 2025-2026 year and pay by May, and receive 10% off your tuition fees.
Offer Conditions: The “Pay By May for Year 2 Program” allows for all students who enroll for the 2025-2026 school season by May 1st 2024, and who have paid the total tuition fee upon enrollment, to receive a 10% off their total tuition credit towards their tuition fees for 2025-2026. Tuition credits will be applied towards future tuition payments and cannot be redeemed for cash.
– Enrollment is considered complete when the school has received all required documentation and fees.
– Capstone Engineering Academy reserves the right to modify or terminate the “Program” at any time without prior notice.

*Capstone Engineering Academy reserves the right to impose caps on combined tuition programs.

 

Payment Options

Capstone Engineering Academy has several options available to make payments. If these do not meet your needs please call our office and make other arrangements.

$250 deposit can be paid by e-transfer or PayPal.

E-transfer or PayPal:

Send E-transfer payments to payments@capstoneacad.ca or PayPal dean@capstoneacad.ca. Please include the student’s full name and 2024/25 Tuition & Fees in the memo field. Note: Please contact your bank to temporarily increase your daily e-transfer limit. This will prevent having to make multiple e-transfers.

Cheque:

Cheques can be dropped off to the main office. Cheque payable to Capstone Engineering Academy. Please write the student’s full name and 2024/25 Tuition & Fees on the cheque and envelope.

Credit Card:

Credit Card payments can be made via the credit card authorization form, or over the phone. Please contact our office for credit card payments.

Refund Policy

Deadline for credit course and program refunds

Refunds only apply to courses or programs for which students have notified Capstone Engineering Academy of cancelling, dropping, or withdrawing from the course or program on or before the start of the semester.

  • The following fees are 100% refundable if notification is received by the drop deadline (September 30th, 2024):
    • Tuition fees
    • Project fees

Please note that after the start of the semester, no refunds will be issued.

Refunds for cancelled courses

Any courses cancelled by Capstone Engineering Academy will result in a 100% refund.

Refund payments

  • Outstanding fees are deducted from the total refund amount. If the amount outstanding is greater than the refund amount, no refund payment will be made to the student.
  • Refunds are based on refund guidelines and fee schedules.
  • For approved refunds, payments are issued within two to four weeks of notification of cancellation, drop, or withdrawal.
  • Tuition and fees paid by credit card will be processed back to the original card that was used to pay. If we’re unable to refund to that credit card, we will issue the refunds by cheque.
  • All payments made by cash, debit, or direct banking will be refunded by cheque.
  • Payments made by charities or other agencies are refunded on a case by case basis per the funder’s policy.

NON-REFUNDABLE AND NON-TRANSFERABLE FEES
Registration Fee: $250

 

School Supplies and Activity Fees

School supplies are the responsibility of the student, as many courses require
specific materials. For Grades 1-4, check on CEA’s website the school supply list. For Grades 5-9, until teachers have provided specific supply lists, a binder with loose leaf paper will suffice. Activity fees are collected for items such as trips, possible additional classroom supplies, etc.

Bring Your Own Device (BYOD)

To support learning, CEA students are allowed to bring their own devices (BYOD), at their expense. Please refer to the information found on the CEA website.
Students will be responsible for maintaining their own device including charging and installing virus protection. Students will be expected to comply with all class and school rules while using personal devices, per the Technology Responsibility Agreement and Social Media Responsibility Agreement forms.
